Q: Where can I buy auto parts for a toyota camry 2002?
I have a 2002 toyota camry and recently a family member broke off the door handle from the outside and I wanted to know where to buy these parts.
A: To get a door handle you'll have to go to your favorite wrecking yard or Toyota.jb
Q: Does a 2002 toyota camry have a timing belt or chain?
i have a 2002 toyota camry 2.4L engine V4. Does it have a timing belt or chain?
A: Assuming this is the type of engine that originally came in the car (not a V4), a 2AZ-FE 2.4L DOHC, it uses a chain.
Q: How to fix automatic door lock on a 2002 Toyota Camry?
The front passenger side automatic door lock on my Camry recently stopped working. The only way to lock or unlock this door is by either inserting the key from outside or by manually locking/unlocking it from inside. The auto remote won't do it and it won't lock/unlock automatically when the car is started or stopped like the other doors do. Is this something I can try to fix myself, or do I need to take it to the shop?
A: You can fix anything yourself if your willing to learn new things.
This is actually one of two things, and pretty easy to tell which. First take the door panel off. You will see a couple relays inside. At least one will be for your door locks, probably two. See if they click when you try to lock and unlock the door. My hunch is they will.
If they do, then you have to find the solenoid that physically locks the door. You will need to measure the voltage on the wires going to it. If you can't get 12 volts on any of the wires when you lock/unlock the doors, then the problem is likely a relay. But I suspect all will be ok with the voltages, and the solenoid wont move. In that case the solenoid must be replaced.
Q: I am looking to tint my silver 2002 Toyota Camry, I live in Texas, what % is best? Is 20% too dark to see out
I am thinking i might do 35% all around to keep it the same. Is 20% on the back windshield too dark to back up with for a long sedan like the Camry?
A: Texas law for sedans limits side windows to a total tint of 25%LT (LT = light transmission). This is for the film and what ever the windows came from the factory combined. In other words yu take a reading with a light meter then the same meter through the window and the window has to admit at least 25% of what the clear air reading was. The rear windshield can be any tint IF you have both right and left outside mirrors. If you only have a left outside mirror the rear windshield is restricted to 25%LT. I have dark tint on the rear windshield of my Jeep Liberty and am seriously considering removing it. It is too dark even in the day time. Backing out of a parking space at night is REALLY bad.
Q: I have a 2002 toyota camry. What is the ball park price to get it repainted?
The car has many scratches, a few dings and some plastic bumper damage. Want a fairly good job done, not the cheepo stuff
they advertise in the papers.
A: lots of variables..... do you want all dings and scratches fixed? how much damage on plastic bumper? you could spend up to 1000.00 or more. do you plan to keep the car for 2 or more years? if not, those "cheepo" are not that bad. you could save about 30%. i have owned several car dealerships and have had many cars painted. most people cant see the difference between a 500.00 job and a 2500.00 job!l
Q: How do I replace the tail light cover on a 2002 Toyota Camry?
I've been told there are three bolts that hold the tail cover in place. How do I get to those bolts? Do I have to peel the carpeting back in the trunk?

Q: How do you replace a lower control arm on at 2002 toyota camry?
I hydroplaned into a curb yesterday and blew out my front drivers side tire. Replaced the tire and discovered that my steering was well off. I have taken the car to two separate places and received estimates of 750 and 700. I looked on line though and I can buy the control arm itself for about 75 bucks. My dad is very mechanically inclined, do you think between the two of us we could change it? Or would I be better off having it done professionally?
A: 1 Remove front wheel and support vehicle securely with jackstands.
2. Disconnect the stabalizer bar link from the control arm.
3. Remove the balljoint retaining bolt and nuts
(use prybar to disconnect the control arm from the steering knuckle)
4. Remove the two bolts that attach the front of the control arm to the engine cradle.
5. Remove the bolt and nut that attach the rear of the control arm to the
engine cradle.
6. Remove the control arm..
Good luck to you

I recently bought one that has 80000 miles on it. How many miles should i expect it to have before it completely runs out?

Q: My 2002 toyota camry came up today with a P0420 code. I want to know why the code makes me not pass emmissions?
My big thing is that if it is a sensor that is bad, does that mean that my car is letting out too much emmissions? Why can't my car pass emissions testing with the light on? does the P0420 mean that my car is letting out the wrong amount or is it fine?
A: * Check for exhaust leaks at the manifold, pipes, catalytic converter. Repair as required.
* Use a scope to diagnose the oxygen sensor operation (Tip: The oxygen sensor in front of the catalytic converter normally has a fluctuating waveform. The waveform of the sensor behind the converter should be more steady).
* Inspect the downstream heated oxygen sensor (HO2), replace if necessary
* Replace the catalytic converter

Q: Bad sounds coming from my 2002 Toyota Camry?
I have a standard v6 Toyota camry and on my way to work this morning something must of happened. All of a sudden there was a terrible grinding sound coming from my front right wheel area. Could it be ball joints? brakes (no noticible difference when i take my foot of the gas)? any other suggestions on what could be causing a hair raising grinding noise?
A: It is probably bad wheel bearings.
Usually, bad wheel bearings cause a grinding noise.
I suggest purchasing new wheel bearings from http://mibeairngs.com
They have USA made wheel bearings at a very good price.
Good Luck!
