The safest place for the carseat is in the middle of the backseat. However, this car doesn't have a place to hook in the tethers (hooks) between the seats in the middle. It has a place to hook up top on both sides and middle, but only has the two sides between the seats.Anyone know what I'm talking about? A: Just because the safest place is considered the middle of the back seat DOES NOT mean that its not safe to put the childs car seat on either other side of that spot. Regardless what or where you strap your kid in the car at-what kind of car it is or what kind of car seat you are using in a real actual crash your kid still stands a chance of being injured or even killed. Nothing is 100% safe. Yes, if you have the option to put them in the middle of the rear seat do it. But if you dont have that option, then the other side will do. It doesnt mean that its not still safe.

A: That's a 4-cylinder Camry, as the V6's come with a sequential shifting/manumatic 6-speed transaxle. Since it doesn't have a 3-spoke wheel, it's not the SE. And the XLE has woodgrain trim. So this is likely the base/CE or the LE model.

I am thinking about buying a 2003 Toyota Camry that has 106,000 miles on it. It was very decently priced (perfect for my budget). Is it a waste of money, or I will I get a few solid years out of the car? I heard that Toyota's are good for at least 200,000 miles. Is this true?

A: That is a lot of miles on a 2003 camry. Do you hear any unusual sound when you drive?? Is there any hesitation when you excelarate? Noise when you stop? Did you look in the engine compartment? Is there a lot of oil residue? Any accidents? Camrys are good cars, especially this year of model. It does not have any safety related recalls or campaigns. The new 2007 new model has a lot of transmission related issues and concerns. I used to work for Toyota and my boyfriend is a service dept manager for Toyota. He owns a 1988 corolla with 250000 miles on it. Just do your proper maintenance. Oil change...brake pads...and make sure to do your major services consistenly. Your car will last for a few years or more. Make sure you get a service history from the dealership or service center that this owner does his service with. You can call and ask how you can get a service history....usually this owner has to write, call or email them to have the history to be released to you. Good luck!

It's the stock radio so i had to use my rear speakers for the RCA Jacks. I'll just be driving down the road and all my speakers will stop playing. The Stereo Looks like it's playing. Then a little while later everything will kick back on. I've double checked everything and everything is properly attatched and all the wires have a good connection. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

A: Hold it; you haven't given us the full story. "Had to use your rear speakers for the RCA jacks"??? Are you trying to say you added an amplifier to your factory system, and tapped the rear speaker wires to the amp's RCA inputs? Did you use a line-out converter, or did you just run wiring from the RCA inputs to the speaker wires?

A: Don't worry about trying to fix it...it isn't broken. But it CAN be changed. Most newer Toyotas have Customizable features...when the lights turn off, how the remote door locks react, etc....that are designed to be changed. This question has come up before, and you can turn off the bell if you desire. Call your dealer and ask if they know how to do that through the Techstream and customization. But I assure you, it can be done.

Evidently, someone at the dealership preset all of the stations on FM1,FM2, and AM. How do I delete the existing presets so that I can preset my favorite stations? The owner's manual offers no help. It is the JBL system with CD changer and navigation.

A: I think I can help you.. Press the audio button on the side of the nav screen that allows you to get to the audio settings.. When youre there, use the tuner and go to the station that you want to preset.. Then, press and hold the preset number of your choice for around 2 to 3 seconds until it beeps.. It will override the last setting and input the station that you chose...You can do that to all of the presets in FM 1 and 2, and also AM..
