Q: Which is a more powerful car: The BMW 3 Series or the 2009 Toyota Camry?
I'm looking forward to buy a used car. I want good performance out of it, as well as reliability. I'm looking at these two for now: The BMW Series 3 Toyota Camry I think the 2009 Camry has ore horsepower than the BMW. Does more HP make a car "better"? I'm looking at the BMW 328i vs Camry SE

A: of-course BMW 3 Series

What should I know about buying a new car in general?

A: First of all, consider other things than a Camry....like an Accord or Maxima....especailly for overall car-for the-Moeny, resale value, cost of ownership etc... Q: I have found a 2009 Toyota Camry with 30,000 miles on it, should I consider an extended warranty?
The present warranty is 3 years or 36,000 miles. This is a rental car and purchasing at locale GMC dealer. They purchased the car at auction.

A: Far too many miles for a 2009. The average yearly driven in the United States is between 12,000 and 15,000 per year. And rental cars, it is true get BEAT hard. Particularly if they have been beat for 30,000 miles in a period of just months. Buy a new one if you can, even if it's not a Camry.

Q: I'm negotiating to buy a 2009 Toyota Camry, with a sticker of 21900. How much can they come off that price?
The tax, title, and fees will run about $1000. They said 21,000 out the door. Could they do $20,000 do you think or are they almost as low as they can go?

A: That is not as low as they can go. The real question is, how important is your discount to you as compared to what you are getting for that money Toyota's are the most popular cars right now and they are quality vehicles that do warrant that price, so you don't need to worry about being "taken", even if you bought it at full list price, but we all know that discounting is just a "part of the game" $21,900 for a full-sized vehicle like the Camry is not too far off from many used car prices out there, so don't feel bad even if that $21,000 is aas far as you can get them to go, but that's not your question, so let me help you all I can with some good buyer's-viewpoint answers: Edmunds.com has a neat feature called "TMV" (standing for True Market Value) pricing that lets you choose the options of the car you're buying and then see the dealer's invoice and also what others are paying for them. The best price for all involved would be exactly halfway between the invoice price and sticker price., but some popular cars justify a higher price, which you'll see as the "TMV" price on that website. The Camry is popular now, so you may see this. No worries. if you pay that price, you are not being "taken". You are paying the average of what everyone else is, too. Also, your absolute best situation in which to get a price lowered a bit is to spend a quality, informative visit with the dealer, treat them like human beings, just like you deserve to be treated, don't act like you know it all from a realtively-short time researching on the internet, and phrase your desired price in a sincere and honest, "If you can get the price to [blank], I will buy it today." That's music to a commissioned salesperson's ears because it means they will be geting paid something, even if not a ton. I would ask for about $750 more off the car and "you'll take it today". If they come back with an offer of only $500 off, just frown, look down, think for awhile, and say these words, "Sorry, that's not how much I've allocated to spend on this purchase. I like you, you're very good at what you do, and you've been a great help. I hope you're here when I come back for my family's next car, but, like I said, I will go forward with this purchase right now if you can get me that $750 off." Then, just shut up and wait. They may come back with a counter-offer. If it's $500 more discount, think about it for awhile, then ask if they'll throw something in winter mats, a cargo net, a Toyota coffee mug, etc., and if they say ok, stand up, shake their hand, and give them a sincere and happy "thank you". Ask for two of their business cards, too. It's flattering and it's a good way to reward a good dealer, with a referral. Good luck with your purchase! Post back how you did!

Q: Which car is better all around? The 2009 Nissan Altima or the 2009 Toyota Camry?
I am looking into buying a new car and I am undecided between the two. Which is better in perfomance and style. Also I would like to know some overall info about the two.I am a young college student looking for something dependable yet stylish...Help me out!

A: You also should compare car insurance quotes for cars before buying one, for example here - carquotes.sinfree.net

Q: What can be done with a 2009 Toyota Camry Hybrid that is totaled?
This was in a bad front end crash. Air bags deployed and pretty messed up. Can the batteries be used etc...?

A: Keep in mind that hybrid battery pack is fully recyclable, and Toyota will pay a $200 bounty if you return it for recycling. Call the number on the label on the battery pack and arrange it for return if the car is to be junked.

Q: How much would a 2009 toyota camry with a mileage of about 98,000 miles sell for?
sorry... i meant 9,800

A: Basically nothing. It's a brand new car, with almost 100k miles? The car's been completely run into the ground. Regardless of what shape it may appear to be in, it's been highly abused. Take the cost of a new Camry, and divide it by half. That's an optimistic value for it.

Q: Can a Toyota Camry 2009 fit a BMX in its boot?
I would like to know if a Toyota Camry 2009 can fit a Felt Vault in its boot Thanks

A: if you remove the front wheel it should fit

Q: How many miles per gallon (city and highway) does the 2009 toyota camry hybrid get?

A: Let's talk actual... Combined average over 22K miles is 35mpg. I can get up to 38-39 mpg on tank fulls. This is the best car we have (room vs. mileage) and the mileage doesn't fall off at 65mph like our Prius, good to 75-80 mph. good luck

Q: 2009 Toyota Camry SE - What's a good value?
I am looking to purchase a 2009 Toyota Camry SE. I just went to the dealership and they gave me a $305/mo for 48 months with 5K down and 3K net of a trade in (I am getting 10K for my 2005 Toyota Camry). That's $22,640 post tax and all the costs. This would be off the lot price I would pay. Is it this good? Thanks!

A: It is OK. I always buy the "ad car" Camry in the Saturday paper. It is $17,999 and has no leather seats or option packages. But it does everything you need for it to do and it is brand new. They are called ad cars because they try to switch you to a $22,000 Camry when you arrive at the lot..

Q: Should I buy this 2009 Toyota Camry?
Everyone has herd of the millions of cars being recalled by Toyota. I am in the market for a car and was looking at a 2009 Camry with 23000 miles for 10000. I was wondering if that a good deal. The only thing is that all the recalls. I checked the Toyota website and this vehicle has not have the recall worked.Toyota in general have been good cars but since this car is going to be for my sister I don't want her to drive anything that is not going to be safe. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. thanks in advance

A: DAVE: Either way, even if you're not in a Toyota... you still have high chances of losing your life. You can't always blame on a car for everything...human error is many times the fault. YES!!! Just like everyone is saying...reliability is good only people who appose Toyota will give thumbs down Now we recently purchased a Toyota, the dealer won't let you have it until they have made sure that the pedal won't encounter the sticky situation. They will also check you ECU and your electronics for the throttle system....they said that they checked at least 4 times, I didn't request the check but they didn't immediately hand the key to me. They told us that it would take 3 days, we will have to thoroughly inspect your vehicle....it took at least a week before I got my car. I would strongly recommend purchasing from a dealer, remember they will listen to all offer at this time. They will negotiate all offer. Good Luck!!!

Q: 2009 TOYOTA CAMRY - RECALL --- DEALER WILL NOT SERVICE?
I have a 2009 Toyota Camry that falls under the Toyota Recall. It is not very clear on the steps to take. Is everyone just waiting or are there repairs being done? I have went to the dealership for answers, but they only disregard the recall as invalid and highly blown out of proportion. What happens next?

A: I wonder if your dealer has the parts that are required. It might be a good idea to call Toyota at 1-800-331-4331 for some answers. http://c5f328ad.linkbucks.com

Q: Just brought 2009 toyota camry in Oct 2008 but don't really like it!?
My husband and I just brought a 2009 toyota camry in Oct 08 and and I don't really like it! But i don't think I can trade it in now b/c I will be in the negative! We have always had Honda but I decided to change! So my question is can I trade the car in this early w/o having alot of negative equity on the car?

A: The only way to know for sure is take it to the dealer and see what they will give you for it. Also, you can look at its blue book value on www.kbb.com. You might need to sell it privately to get the money you want. Good luck.

Q: Would I be able to return my Toyota CAmry 2009?
With all this recall going on, I need a car! Do you think that if I go to Toyota they will be able to refund the car?

A: Nope. You signed a contract and you have to pay it. You can trade it in but I'm telling you right now you aren't going to get the value of the car. Then you'll end up paying more for another car. Keep the car. Look at the stats. 1 every 200,000 has crashed out of millions. Come on. You stats are on your favorite to have a safe car. Any car can give you problems at any time. The media has blown it out of proportion to get ratings!!
